SUPPLY CHAIN IN THE MIDMARKET

The strategic disposition system “Diskover”, designed by the Herzogenrath-based management consultancy Abels & Kemmner for medium-sized wholesalers as well as series and variant manufacturers, is now also available in version 4.0 as an operational management system for optimizing the supply chain from purchasing to delivery. According to the consultants, it is characterized by extensive selection mechanisms for daily planning as well as by its portfolio analysis and simulation functions. In addition, “Diskover” offers distribution-free disposition procedures. According to A&K, the new version of “Diskover” (DISposition with the help of KOnfidenzbereiche, taking into account the actual stock issue distribution) can be run as an add-on tool under SAP and all common ERP, PPS and WW systems. The use is worthwhile from an average stock value of around five million marks.

Prof. Dr. Andreas Kemmner

Prof Dr Kemmner is Co-CEO of the Abels & Kemmner Group and has carried out well over 200 national and international projects in 30 years of consulting work in supply chain management and restructuring and was the only publicly appointed expert for the profitability assessment of industrial companies in Germany for over 10 years. In 2012, he was appointed Honorary Professor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management by the WHZ. The results of his projects have already received several awards.
