Our long-standing customer, Witte-Velbert GmbH, won the award in the category “Outstanding Product Development Processes” in the “Factory of the Year 2001” competition organized by the publisher Moderne Industrie. We congratulate the management and all employees.
The success story began in 1994 with the vision of becoming the market leader. Abels & Kemmner supported Witte-Velbert across numerous sub-projects, from the reorganization of processes, areas and organizational structure, to the integration of production into the product development process, the integration of suppliers in the form of a “virtual” company organization and the integration of customers and suppliers by means of a web platform. The pilot phase of this final stage was completed in the fall of 2001. It was not least the consistent expansion of development expertise that catapulted Witte from a turnover of around €42 million in 1994 to €184 million today. The target for 2004 is just under € 300 million. Witte-Velbert’s success shows that consistent action coupled with perseverance (and the right consultant) pays off!
