Recognize disposition controlling as a goldmine
Around 80% of manufacturing and retail companies can reduce their inventory by 20% or more. This is proven by our own project experience and studies as well as independent studies by relevant institutes. The first step in leveraging potential is to set up a system of key figures that can be used to correctly assess procurement processes and the inventory situation. This is because inventory alone is worthless as a key figure. Only in combination with important factors such as readiness to deliver or turnover can statements be made about the quality of scheduling. It is therefore important to know the right key performance indicator (KPI) for your own tasks and to monitor it regularly.
Participants in the intensive seminar Controlling in Scheduling, which was organized by the seminar provider Management Circle together with Abels & Kemmner, learned how to efficiently develop KPIs and how to avoid classic errors in scheduling key figures. The aim of the seminar was to provide managers and specialists with methods and key figures that they can use to develop an inventory controlling system tailored to their individual requirements. The event was rounded off with reports from the field and workshops to consolidate what had been learned.
