Short & sweet: Material efficiency

Material efficiency is the ratio of the amount of material in the products sold on the market to the total amount of material procured. Or in short: What percentage of the purchased material is contained in the resold goods? Material efficiency is significantly influenced by the design of the products, the choice of materials, the quality and reliability of the technical process and the planning and scheduling of materials.

Our tip: Improved planning and scheduling of material flows within the company can significantly improve material efficiency in the short term.
