Logistical egg dance

Do you know this from your company? In the common interest of increasing earnings, divisional targets are set and consistently pursued. It’s just a shame that the objectives of the various divisions don’t always fit together well. Sometimes it’s like a team of top-class soccer players where everyone wants to score their own goal; …which only works if they – unconsciously – prevent their teammates from scoring their goals. As experienced soccer strategists, we know that the result is rather “suboptimal”.
