Methodical use of lot-sizing procedures opens up potential
Economical lot-sizing procedures to minimize the costs of warehousing, procurement and production of a specific good are used far too rarely in practice. However, in order to fully exploit the potential, users must also be aware of the limitations of lot-sizing methods and be aware that they cannot take all operational interdependencies into account. This means that the right methodological expertise is required across the entire supply chain in order to deploy the system at the right strategic point.
