With effect from August 9, 2011, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) changed the funding of material efficiency analyses and projects for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Germany to BMWi innovation vouchers. Companies can redeem these vouchers to promote analyses to improve material efficiency. The BMWi then covers 50 % of the costs for the consultation by a consulting firm authorized by the BMWi.
On the website of the German material efficiency agency demea, you can check whether your company is eligible for such funding:
As an authorized consulting company in the field of material efficiency, A&K will in future be entitled to issue you directly with a so-called innovation voucher, which entitles you to a 50% subsidy. This means that you will no longer have to submit an application to the German Material Efficiency Agency!
The innovation voucher serves as a fully-fledged means of payment. The value of the voucher is up to €17,000 for a potential analysis and up to €80,000 for an in-depth consultation, less the value of the voucher for the potential analysis.
50% funding for material efficiency projects without application
