The virus, the economy’s supply chains and perhaps more Europe

An interview by “Die Linde” with Prof. Dr. Kemmner:

I would like to start with a congratulations. Your management consultancy Abels & Kemmner has been voted one of the best consultants for SMEs by the Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft für Management und Beratung for the fifth time in a row. And as you can see from the explanatory statement, the main reason is probably your ability to optimize supply chains in medium-sized and large production and trading companies.

Thank you! Over the years, we have developed a set of tools tailored to SMEs. With our data-based analyses, we can precisely define optimization measures and measure and predict in advance how they will work. This means that our customers do not have to feel their way through the implementation of our solutions, but can implement them quickly. And this is extremely important for SMEs in particular, as excess stock, for example, ties up unnecessary capital, causes unnecessary storage costs and poor delivery readiness leads to lost sales, contractual penalties or special expenses. On the other hand, we also know where the dangers lie and can warn companies.

Have you also warned companies about the consequences of a pandemic for international supply chains?
