When the saying
“We don’t want to reinvent the wheel!”
were valid, our cars would be driving around with wooden disks today. If engineers and developers were not constantly questioning and reinventing an invention, there would hardly be any progress. Only by questioning existing solutions is it possible to improve and perfect products and services.
That’s why we didn’t let ourselves be deterred from reinventing the detailed planning of production, and with great success! The topic is old, and there are already numerous solutions for detailed production planning that are in widespread use. However, most of these tools are at the end of their life cycle. The technology is outdated, the interface is no longer in vogue and the results are not really optimal.
After all, this is a complex area of business organization that could previously only be solved with a great deal of computational effort or great simplification. Today, on the other hand, we have new possibilities. With the help of artificial intelligence, we can now explore avenues that were previously impossible. Our DISKOVER PPDS (Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling) can find the best possible solution from a seemingly infinite solution space using the integrated optimization algorithm. And this takes into account existing restrictions and availability of machines, materials and people.
