Who would have thought at the beginning of the year that just three months later we would find ourselves in the middle of a pandemic of historic proportions?
Not us – and certainly not you either.
The current situation is something completely new for us too, so we have no experience to fall back on. There is no best practice in this scenario (yet).
What we can do, however, is to remain in close contact with customers and partners, record experiences and measures and make these results available to you.
Perhaps you will find a suggestion or confirmation in the protocol you find here. This is a summary of the online exchange of experiences between two AWF working groups on the topic of scheduling, production control and production planning on the question of how the participating companies currently (as of March 25/26, 2020) maintain the ability to act in scheduling, production control and production.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the companies involved, which we are not naming here for reasons of confidentiality.
And even if we do not currently have a best-practice solution, we are always ready to listen.
