Order manufacture or industrial disposition

Scheduling and production control are becoming increasingly important in our companies.

That’s right, because they are the heart of a company and pump the entire material flow through the value chain. This pumping should lead to the most economical value chain possible and, on the other hand, be as cost-effective as possible.

In many companies, however, scheduling and production control are still carried out manually, with a large proportion of decisions regarding the quantity and required date of a part being weighed up and implemented individually. Staff changes, vacation and sickness replacements regularly lead to changes in scheduling.

Why do we find it so difficult to rely on an industrial process that is set up and automated as precisely as possible in scheduling and production control, which is monitored by humans but no longer carried out by them?

The technical possibilities have long existed to significantly automate the scheduling of a larger proportion of materials with better quality results and to free up our schedulers for more important tasks where they can earn our companies more money.

With this in mind, I wish you all the best for your end-of-year business and Christmas shopping, if you still have any to do!

With best regards
Yours
